#25: How to Move a Product to the Launch Tracker
This guide explains how to move a product from development into the Launch Tracker once approval has been granted and the project is ready for launch management.
To move approved products into the Launch Tracker so launch activities can be managed, monitored and reported consistently.
When to Use
Use this process when:
- A product has completed development.
- Customer feedback has been received and reviewed.
- Gate 3 approval has been granted.
- The project is ready to move into launch planning.
Before You Start
Ensure:
- The correct product record is open.
- Gate 3 approval has been confirmed.
- Launch information has been reviewed.
- All required development activities have been completed.
Steps
Step 1: Open the Product Record
- Navigate to the relevant product.
- Open the product record.
- Review the current Gate status.
Step 2: Confirm Approval Status
Verify that:
- Customer feedback has been reviewed.
- The project has been approved.
- Gate 3 approval has been granted.
Only approved projects should be moved to the Launch Tracker.
Step 3: Review Launch Information
Check the following information is accurate:
- Launch Date
- Customer Details
- Product Information
- Project Status
- Associated Gate
Step 4: Move to the Launch Tracker
- Locate the tracker status field.
- Select the option to move the project to the Launch Tracker.
