To complete the mandatory information required to create a Gate and assign ownership for the project.
When to Use
Use this process when:
- Creating a new Gate.
- Setting up a new customer project.
- Assigning responsibility for project progression.
Steps
Step 1: Enter Project Value
- Locate the Amount field.
- Enter the estimated project value.
- Confirm the value is accurate.
Step 2: Select Type of Sale
- Locate the Type of Sale field.
- Select the appropriate option from the dropdown list.
Examples may include:
- Seasonal
- Existing Business
- New Business
- Promotional Activity
Select the option that best represents the project.
Step 3: Assign the BDM (Gate Owner)
- Locate the BDM (Gate Owner) field.
- Open the dropdown list.
- Search for the relevant BDM.
- Select the appropriate owner.
The Gate Owner will be responsible for progressing the project through the workflow.
Step 4: Review Mandatory Fields
Before creating the Gate:
- Confirm all mandatory fields have been completed.
- Verify ownership is assigned correctly.
- Review project information for accuracy.
Step 5: Create the Gate
- Click Create.
- Confirm the Gate has been created successfully.
- Verify the project appears in the relevant tracker.
Outcome
Upon completion:
✅ Gate is created successfully
✅ Ownership is assigned
✅ Project enters the workflow
✅ Progress can be tracked through subsequent stages
