SOP 05: How to Add an Existing View as a Tab
This guide explains how to add an existing saved view as a tab, allowing quick navigation between commonly used views and trackers.
To add an existing saved view as a tab within HubSpot, allowing quick access to frequently used information without having to search for the view each time.
When to Use
Use this process when:
- A view has already been created.
- You want faster access to a saved view.
- You regularly work from a specific tracker view.
- A shared team view has been created and you need to access it.

Before You Start
Ensure:
- You are logged into HubSpot.
- The view has already been created.
- You have permission to access the view.
Note: You will only be able to see views that have been shared with you or created by you.
Process Steps
Step 1: Navigate to the Required Tracker
Open the tracker where the view exists.
Examples:
- Sample Tracker
- Dispatch Tracker
- Gates Tracker
Step 2: Locate the Tab Bar
At the top of the tracker, locate the existing tabs.
Example:
All Records | My Records | Team Records | +
Step 3: Click the Plus (+) Tab
Click the + icon beside the existing tabs.
This opens the available view options.
Step 4: Select "Add View"
From the dropdown menu:
- Click Add View
- Review the list of available views
Step 5: Locate the Required View
Search for or select the view you wish to add.
Examples:
- Karen's View
- Sample Dispatches
- Open Projects
- My Development Projects
Only views available to you will appear in the list.
Step 6: Add the View
Select the required view.
The view will automatically be added as a new tab in the tracker.
Step 7: Verify the View Has Been Added
Confirm the new tab now appears alongside your existing tabs.
Example:
All Records | My Records | Sample Dispatches | Open Projects
Click the tab to open and review the information.
