SOP 12: Assigning a Task or PIS

To assign a Product Information Sheet (PIS) or task once costing and development work has been completed.

  When to Use

Use this process when:

  • Costing has been submitted.
  • PIS documentation is required.
  • Work needs assigning to another team member.

Process Steps

Step 1: Open Product Record

  1. Navigate to the product.
  2. Locate the PIS section.

Step 2: Select PIS Status

Options may include:

  • No
  • Yes
  • Submitted

Select the appropriate status.


Step 3: Assign Responsibility

  1. Select the relevant owner.
  2. Allocate responsibility.

Step 4: Save Changes

  1. Confirm updates.
  2. Save the record.

Common Mistakes

❌ Assigning the wrong owner.

❌ Updating the wrong product.

❌ Leaving status incomplete.


Success Criteria

✓ PIS assigned.

✓ Ownership visible.

✓ Product progresses to the next stage.
